As a Sales Development Representative at Mendix, you’ll help the most recognizable organizations in the world realize their vision and overcome their challenges with a better way to build software.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated, tenacious, empathetic, and curious Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team. As an SDR, you will be responsible for generating leads, qualifying opportunities, and setting appointments for our sales team. You will be the first point of contact for potential customers and will play a critical role in the success of our sales efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Generate new leads through outbound prospecting activities, including phone calls, emails, and social media.
- Qualify inbound leads and identify potential opportunities.
- Conduct research on prospective customers to understand their business needs and pain points.
- Closely partner with and schedule appointments for the field sales team.
- Provide a positive customer experience by anticipating, discovering, and orienting to their key initiatives, and effectively communicating the value of Mendix's platform.
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly targets for lead generation, activity, and appointment setting.
Requirements:
- Tenacity to persevere through challenging situations and achieve goals.
- Empathy to understand and connect with potential customers about topics important to them.
- Curiosity to learn about customers' businesses and pain points.
- 1-2 years of experience in sales or lead generation, preferably in a B2B environment – or – a track record of achieving excellence in a personal or professional endeavor.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience using CRM tools and sales automation software.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- A desire and ability to work from our Boston office 1 day per week (flexible / hybrid).
