Position Summary

Samsung has developed a proprietary ad platform that leverages unique first party TV data to help brands connect to their audience as they explore content across desktop, mobile, tablets and our SMART TVs. The Samsung Ad Platform delivers high-quality audience targeting powered by three key components: first-party audience data at scale, world-class data science, and brand-safe cross-device ad inventory.

We are currently looking for a talented account executive focused on growing revenue and building new relationships with assigned agencies and advertisers. Emerging Accounts is Samsung Ads' fastest growing customer category and is inclusive of many national advertisers - some have run in TV for years and others are brand new to the medium. The ideal candidate should have a passion for streaming video, expertise in data driven audience activation, and a pulse on new multi-channel advertising technologies. With the rapid growth of programmatic activation in Connected TV, this seller should be equally comfortable speaking in terms like PG, PMP, and SSP as they are with insertion orders.

This individual must be able to think strategically, anticipate how buying decisions are made, uncover the business needs of key clients and have a proven ability to close deals. Additionally, this sales executive will be the consummate team-player and have the ability to work collaboratively across the sales organization within a fluid and fast-paced environment.

The individual should have a passion for video, advanced TV, and the rapidly changing way consumers are viewing premium content across all screens. It's key to have a pulse on how the media agency community is thinking about and allocating client spend to video channels and what solutions they need to do so more seamlessly. This passion and knowledge will fuel the growth of both your and Samsung Ads' business.

This individual should have existing relationships across both video/digital strategy and investment teams as well as programmatic buying teams at the major agencies and holding companies, including key senior level contacts. This position will carry an annual revenue goal.

This Emerging Accounts Seller position is based in New York with domestic US travel as needed, occasional visits to the product/engineering offices in Montreal, Canada and Mountain View, CA. You will report to our Emerging Accounts Lead. Role and Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with named advertisers, agencies, and agency trading desks
  • Develop a deep technical understanding of the Samsung Ads platform, capabilities, and unique inventory (including Samsung TV Plus)
  • Create a plan to build and grow Samsung Ads' business with named agencies and accounts
  • Continuously provide value to your customers and serve as a trusted consultant to drive advertising growth with Samsung Ads
  • Monitor daily run rate across assigned accounts and work with product and support teams to troubleshoot any issues
  • Act as an internal champion for your advertising customers across Samsung

Skills and Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of the video and connected TV media ecosystem
  • 7+ years of industry or relatable experience with a significant portion spent working at a video publisher or SSP
  • Proven track record of securing and growing spend from advertisers and agencies via all buy types: Programmatic Guaranteed (PG), Private Marketplace (PMP), and Insertion Order (IO)
  • Successful internal and external relationship management
  • Experience working in both entrepreneurial and established corporate cultures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through
  • Talent at explaining complex topics in simple terms in person, over the phone or video conference
  • Bachelor's Degree; MBA or other advanced degree a plus
  • Preferred Experience
  • Experience with selling or using video advertising platforms on the supply side (e.g. Magnite)
