Description
We are seeking a candidate interested in working in a people centered entrepreneurial environment. This key position will be an instrumental member in further developing and growing a dynamic State and Local Tax (SALT) practice. The candidate will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and expertise in sales tax compliance and consulting. This position offers excellent opportunities for serving clients, business development, leadership and career advancement for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Focused on preparing monthly sales tax returns and registrations for multiple clients. Handle entire process from initial monthly information request/reminder to documenting filings and payments.
- If time permits each month, individual may conduct light research, handle notices and conduct other sales tax consulting services such as nexus reviews and taxability decision matrices.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Sales tax compliance experience and/or strong desire to focus on sales tax compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. CMI a plus.
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as computer expertise including knowledge of sales tax compliance software and technology.
