Job Summary:
This person can sit in either RapidScale location or remote location.
The Sr. Azure Cloud Implementation Engineer will work as part of a team that provides base implementations for new customer projects. The Sr. Azure Cloud Engineer will participate in all the technical efforts to successfully migrate a new customer onto the RapidScale Azure platform. They will work very closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) for all new customer implementations.
The Sr. Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for providing migration support, which includes troubleshooting, researching customer on premises environments, providing architectural recommendations to the senior cloud engineers and management of overall health of services migrating into the RapidScale managed cloud. The position will be a key factor in providing a great customer experience pre and post implementation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Essential Duties include but are not limited to):
• Lead the design, configuration, implementation, and support of Microsoft Azure platform.
• Develop, define, and maintain architectural standards and supporting documentation while adhering to best practices.
• Deliver innovative solutions in diverse environment with shifting priorities, wearing many hats all while driving projects and tasks to completion.
• Responsible for the delivery of Infrastructure as a Service including planning, design, implementation & optimization as a post sales consultant to clients.
• Support development and implementation of Microsoft Azure within enterprise environments.
• Migration of on-site and private cloud customers to Microsoft Azure and 365.
• Maintenance and support of Azure and 365 deployments.
• Provide analysis and continuous improvement of cloud networking and security in public cloud networks.
• Maintain, deploy, upgrade, and troubleshoot cloud network and security infrastructure solutions, including hybrid cloud connectivity, firewalls, load balancers, Site-to-Site and remote client VPN, Intrusion prevention and detection systems.
• Monitor customer service performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
• Provision new customers and provide onboarding assistance and training.
• Serve as a technical escalation point and SME for cloud-based technologies, providing education and transfer of knowledge

• Microsoft Hyper-V Clustered Environments
• Server Migration Experience (Azure Migrate, ASR)
• Virtualization Experience (Azure and/or Hyper-V
Educational & Skills Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree preferred in IT-related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in systems infrastructure design, support, and administration.
• At least 4 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 in a hybrid environment.
• Preferred Certifications:
o Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
o Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
o Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty
• Excellent communication, presentation, writing, and editorial abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Work well with clients at all levels, from executive to IT personnel to end user.
• Apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving problems that are complex in scope, requiring in-depth evaluation as well as the ability to identify problems in advance, and propose solutions.
• Require limited supervision and direction; drive results and set priorities independently.
• Ability to work on a 24x7 on-call rotation schedule.
Needed Attributes:
• A proven level of competence with Windows server management, Active Directory, cloud backup solutions, VMware experience and Azure Active Directory.
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of competency in managing technical projects.
• Passionate, collaborative, results oriented capable of inspiring and building cross functional high performing relationships to effectively drive change while achieving established goals.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-starter who is willing to learn and adjust to customer needs.
• Experience with project management.
• Able to multi-task across different customers environments and communicate on customers' best standard practice.
• Proficient with Azure
• Implement hybrid cloud configurations, patterns, and security practices.
• Ability to train customers and make them familiar with the cloud environment.
• Identify opportunities and develop scripts to automate the engineering tasks to minimize the manual work.
Compensation:
• Compensation $105,700 - $176,100 annually + bonus.
o The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience.
