About the Position

The Senior Data Scientist plays a critical role in leading analytical projects and developing advanced models that solve complex business challenges. Candidates should bring 5-10 years of experience in data science, with deep expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and big data technologies. This role demands leadership in technical execution, the ability to mentor junior data scientists, and strong collaboration skills to work with stakeholders across the organization. The Senior Data Scientist will drive innovation, refine data strategies, and deliver actionable insights that significantly impact business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Works independently and contributes significantly to technical strategy by providing insights using statistical analysis and machine learning models.
• Engages with stakeholders under guidance, helping to understand and solve their key challenges with data-driven solutions.
• Presents analytical and model results effectively, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions.

• Executes and leads technical tasks and projects with minimal oversight.
• Conducts in-depth exploratory data analytics and feature engineering.
• Applies multiple modeling techniques to address business problems and demonstrates an ability to choose the appropriate model based on the problem at hand.

• Takes full ownership of significant tasks and projects, ensuring accuracy, and timely delivery.
• Demonstrates a clear understanding of internal customer needs and technical requirements.

• Collaborates effectively with team members and cross-functional teams.
• Provides mentorship to junior data scientists on technical aspects.
• Shares knowledge and best practices with peers and junior team members.

• Fosters a positive team environment through proactive collaboration.
• Encourages continuous learning and adoption of best practices within the team.

Domain Expertise:

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Solid expertise in Python, R, SQL, and GitHub.
• Strong experience in statistical analysis, machine learning models, and data visualization using tools like Matplotlib, ggplot, Tableau, or PowerBI.

Agile/Digital Experience:

• Experience working in a product-centric development team preferred
• Experience working in agile processes and frameworks preferred

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Sitting, working at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time
• Must be at least 21 years of age

The salary range for this role is:
$95,500.00 - $201,300.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor. For remote locations or positions open to multiple locations, the pay range may reflect several US geographic markets, including the lowest geographic market minimum to the highest geographic market maximum. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. At Constellation Brands, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
