Senior Database Administrator

We have a great contract opportunity for a Senior Database Administrator Consultant in NYC! The Consultant must have more than six years of experience in Oracle Database and extensive experience with Data Warehouse. 

This is an hourly position with opportunity for overtime.

Mandatory Qualifications: (Please read carefully. They MUST be shown on your resume)

• 6+ years of experience in Oracle Database 
• Extensive experience with Data Warehouse
• Extensive experience with Oracle RAC
• Extensive expertise in installing, administering, and managing Oracle databases, both on-premises and cloud
• Extensive expertise in database performance tuning 
• Strong understanding of database monitoring, especially with OEM and SQL Server monitoring tools
• Strong experience with Shell and SQL scripting
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience administering SQL Server on Windows platform or Oracle Real Application Cluster on Linux Platform 
• Ability to quickly diagnose problem areas and come up with solutions and/or workarounds
• Strong time management skills with willingness and ability to handle multiple projects/initiatives at the same time
• Self-motivated with strong team, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Experience with full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
