Job summary

As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer at Kaizen, you will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of user-facing features on the Hub (our web applications). You will work closely with product owners, designers, and backend engineers to build features which meet the needs of our clients and standards. Your role involves writing clean, maintainable and well-documented code. Identifying bottlenecks and optimising application performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth interactions. Implementing and maintaining unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests. Working closely with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive, accessible and responsive user interfaces.


Key Responsibilities
  • Understand the key concepts of JS, optimisation techniques and design patterns
  • Collaborate with Product, Design and Development teams
  • Identify refactoring needs and writing clean easy to maintain code
  • Enjoy knowledge sharing with the Frontend dev chapter on technologies
  • Working in Scrum/Agile environments with the usual ceremonies
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Deep understanding of:
  • 5+ years' experience in HTML, CSS, JS, React
  • Experience in Redux, TypeScript, Cypress, Jest, Webpack
  • Proficiency with Git and Git workflows
Nice to Have:
  • DevOps, CI/CD experience using AWS CodeBuild and GitHub Actions
  • Resolving security vulnerabilities, dependencies and licensing issues flagged by our automated platforms
  • Experience ensuring web applications are accessible and meet industry standards (WCAG)
  • AWS, Next.js, Backend experience
