We invite you to join the development team working for our customer, who has a growing range of Internet-connected products, including robot vacuum cleaners and connected air purifiers.

We are developing a mobile application that is one of the key components in providing greater intelligence, understanding, and control to connected devices. We are passionate about ensuring our app matches the same high standards.

If you are an experienced Android developer, with a passion for Computer Science and Software Engineering, including algorithms, design patterns, software architecture principles and you have mobile devops experience then the job is for you. You will have been working in a team delivering software using an Agile framework such as SCRUM, and you will understand how to write high-quality, unit-tested Kotlin code.

You will:

• Change features for our app, ensuring they are tested, robust and scalable
• Optimize and servicing of our CI/CD tools, do a platform version upgrade
• Improve release process automation
• Work in Scrum team and cooperate on daily basis with: Product Owner, Scrum Masters, test engineers, UX/UI designers and software engineers
• Work alongside and help mentor other members of the team
• Identify methods, tools and approaches to help continually improve standards and quality

• Deep knowledge and professional experience in native Android development, where Kotlin and Java are both must have.
• Experience and willingness required to dive into territory of mobile devops
• Understanding of Bash, Ruby and YAML
• Good familiarity with design patterns, MVVM
• Good experience of writing unit tests, including designing for test-ability and ideally TDD/BDD
• Experience in writing tests with JUnit, Robolectric and Mockito would be an advantage
• Experience with RxJava is a must, data binding, and Android Architecture Components
• Experience of Git Flow, continuous integration and Agile teamwork
• UI development with Compose experience is a must.
• UI testing with Espresso
• Knowledge of Jira/Bitbucket, Bitrise, Docker, Fastlane, Firebase and Bamboo CI
• Good to have an experience with JetPack libraries, Volley, AWS IoT SDK and Gson, Dagger for dependency injection
