Role Summary
Leads all major contracts and commercial activities for defined Mavenir purchasing domain. Seen as a lead negotiator and vendor domain manager for Mavenir. Owns critical decisions to create and drive value for Mavenir in vendor relationships and contracting constructs.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads all major contracts and commercial activities for defined Mavenir purchasing domain.
- SME for OEM, Licensing and Complex purchasing arrangements
- Lead negotiator : Conduct commercial and legal negotiations with suppliers on contracts, price, delivery and quality, while showing ability to execute cost reduction initiatives and identify areas of cost savings.
- Manage the C-Level business relations with different vendors for hardware, software and IT.
- Prepare commercial and legal documents such as agreements, NDA's, Agreements, Amendments and RFP.
- Evaluate suppliers’ quotations with regard to specifications, price, delivery, credit terms and all other data meeting the requirements of the internal customer (BU).
- As part of supplier management, manage and monitor suppliers’ performance, issue relevant reports, engage in ongoing cost reduction activities, agreement renegotiations, etc.
- Ensure that data entered on Procurement systems is clear and accurate for reporting purposes.
- Meet with internal customers to determine requirements, strategies, change in direction and ensure ongoing compliance and communication of Procurement’s policies and tools.
- Source new services upon receipt of a clear specification from the requestor.
- Explore new business opportunities (new suppliers, business models and methods).
- Perform cost and financial spend analysis (benchmark, in-source vs. outsource).
- Ongoing teamwork and collaborate with colleagues and the various units: HR, R&D, Regional Management, Sales, Customer Support, Finance, Legal, and the Business Units.
- Represent Mavenir in a professional, coordinated and effective manner
Job Requirements
- At least 7-10 in a similar role.
- At minimum 3-5 years leading large contract negotiations independently.
- 15 years professional experience.
- Experience in purchasing practices and procedures within the IT/Telco arena is essential.
- Previous experience working for truly Global organizations.
- Strong negotiating and expediting skills.Ability to be quick, agile and highly responsive and available when needed
