Job Overview

The Brew Engine Platform is part of the R&D team responsible researching thermal/fluid systems and the advanced control methods that deliver the perfect cup in appliances for the At Home and Away from Home market segments. The team is looking for an Engineer with experience using system modeling, computer simulations, and thermal/fluids knowledge to generate innovative solutions and bring them to the marketplace. This position will have significant impact and leverage on current and future products in the KDP technology organization.

The Senior Engineer will become the subject matter expert for the thermal/fluid behavior of the Keurig appliance portfolio. While this position does not have direct reports, the Sr. Engineer will have responsibility for mentoring, instructing, and checking the technical work of other engineers.

What you will do:

  • Leverage knowledge and experience to define technical design space, identify innovations, and bring new brewers to market.
  • Build computational/simulation models and predict behavior of new thermal/fluid systems and/or control strategies.
  • Test, build, and analyze data to verify thermal/fluid models using SixSigma statistical tool kit.
  • Mentor peers and junior team members using experience and guided learning.
  • Partner with a cross-functional team to deliver technologies into the marketplace.
  • Represent on a cross-functional team developing the next generation of Keurig appliances.
  • Support and drive continuous improvement.
  • Follow all KDP policies and procedures.
Total Rewards

  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Master's preferred.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in a relevant industry.
  • System and subsystem computational modeling/simulation (FEA, CFD, Dymola, ect.).
  • Track record of using simulations to deliver real world solutions.
  • Experienced in heat transfer and fluid mechanic theories.
  • Experience in building prototypes that validate models.
  • 3D design/modeling (SolidWorks or similar CAE).
  • Strong understanding of system variation, SixSigma experience preferred.
  • An aptitude for presenting data-based trade-off studies to drive decision making.
  • Ability to present technologies and status of development projects to stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring junior staff members.
  • Desire to for technical growth and understanding
