General Summary:UNUM is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our enterprise network infrastructure. As a member of the Infrastructure Engineering team, they will play a key role in creating scalable, maintainable, and highly available network architectures that align with business objectives and meet service-level agreements (SLAs).
The Sr. Network Engineer must have strong expertise in core networking areas such as routing, switching, and firewalls, along with proficiency in several additional domains, including VPN platforms, IoT management, network access, wireless technologies, cloud environments, and automation scripting.
This role involves regular collaboration with technical teams and business application stakeholders to provide or receive technical guidance. A solid understanding of multiple computing platforms (physical, virtual, and cloud) is essential, as is the ability to quickly adapt to a complex, large-scale environment.

Cisco, Equinix, Arista
Forescout Access Controls
Azure and AWS
This is a hybrid role that requires a minimum of 2 days onsite at the Columbia, SC, Chattanooga, TN, Portland, ME, or Atlanta, GA locations.

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.

$89,400.00-$183,500.00

Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not.
