Position Description:
As the Senior Product Manager for Model N's High Tech product line, you will lead a team responsible for driving the product line's success. Your role encompasses expanding the market share of existing products while developing innovative solutions to meet company objectives. You will refine and enhance existing offerings and methodologies while also leveraging your expertise and customer insights to shape new ideas and solutions. This position requires a strong combination of business acumen and technical proficiency, paired with the determination to turn a vision into reality.
You should have a passion for engaging with customers and service teams to understand their challenges, as well as a detail-oriented approach to ensuring the successful deployment of products. You will collaborate across all areas of the company, working closely with technology teams and cross-functional stakeholders in marketing, operations, services, support, legal, and sales to achieve product goals. Additionally, you will serve as a subject matter expert for your product line, serving as a key resource for internal teams and external customers, including occasionally partnering with sales channels and engaging with strategic customers.
Responsibilities
• Develop a deep understanding of the vertical domain, shape the product roadmap, and drive releases aligned with strategic objectives.
• Engage directly with customers and prospects to gather requirements and insights.
• Act as the Product Owner, owning use cases, story development, and prioritizing efforts across new feature development, customer satisfaction, and support.
•Create detailed specifications and requirements to guide product development.
•Provide clear guidance and support to product development and QA teams, ensuring requirements are fully understood and implemented.
• Conduct business scenario testing, review documentation, and facilitate internal training and product demonstrations.
•Collaborate with marketing teams to develop sales materials and artifacts to support outbound sales activities.
•Represent Model N at industry conferences, speaking engagements, and analyst briefings, serving as a product and domain expert.
Requirements
•Proven track record of defining, developing, and delivering enterprise B2B software products in ambiguous environments, with experience managing the full product lifecycle from concept to launch.
•Demonstrated success in building AI/Gen-AI-based features that achieve targeted revenue outcomes.
•Preferred experience in Channel and Distribution management, pricing, and incentives, within the High-Tech industry.
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering; an MBA is a plus.
•6+ years of experience in product management, including roadmap strategy and definition.
•Exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
•Strong communication skills across email, phone, and face-to-face interactions.
This role involves occasional travel within North America to both customer and non-customer locations, up to 10% of the time.
