Senior Product Manager, Cloud and Mobile App

Responsibilities:

• As the product owner for all cloud and app products, define user stories, manage the product backlog, and support driving feature development to meet the customer’s needs.
• Product planning, roadmap development, lifecycle management, and business execution.
• Define strategy and build implementation plans for new profit streams based on software services targeted at consumers as well as EV fleets. Develop the necessary business alliances across the ecosystem to execute plans.
• With relentless focus on customer needs, understanding of the competitive landscape, and strong business judgment, own requirements definition (including writing PFGs, PRDs and user stories) for software features and enhancements. Drive hard trade-offs between performance, features, cost, and speed-to-market.
• Manage full lifecycle of product execution from PRD/conception to EOL, driving the execution of roadmaps and achievement of business objectives.
• Working closely with embedded software, cloud, and mobile app engineering teams, create and maintain a living roadmap of new software features for App and Cloud that results in the best possible user experience.
• Work with external vendors to scope and cost development work as needed.
• Ensure clear cross-functional communication and coordination to manage the scope of each product launch for on-time and on-budget delivery of defined product features.
• Create, review, and recommend marketing collateral, customer presentations, and business proposals to ensure consistent product execution.
• Drive OEM design wins by collaborating closely with BD/Sales and engineering teams.

Requirements:

• BS degree in Engineering highly desired but not required; Electrical/Computer Engineering/Science degree and/or MS/MBA is a plus.
• At least 10 years of professional experience, with 5 years in software technology product management or software leadership role.
• Understanding of an agile Software Development Life Cycle process.
• Experience with building software services (SaaS) business is a strong plus.
• Experience with taking a product from concept to market is a strong plus.
• Experience with embedded software, App and Cloud development is a strong plus.
• Experience with energy infrastructure, automotive OEM, or vehicle electrification desired.
• Familiarity with best-practices-based product innovation concepts such as human-centered design thinking is a plus.
• Ability to “zoom in zoom out” from strategic to tactical with high attention to detail.
• Must relish the fast-paced, dynamic, operating environment of a small technology company.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
