Job Description
STR is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join an outstanding and growing Contracts team. This role will report to the Government Property Manager. The successful candidate will have high energy, a commitment to excellence, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in Federal Government Property administration, Logistics Management or IT Asset Management with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and/or Intelligence Community (IC).
This position will be on-site at our MA office location.
Pursuant to applicable Federal law and regulations, positions at STR may require employees to obtain national security clearances and satisfy the requirements for compliance with export control and other applicable laws.
Responsibilities:
- Perform life-cycle Government Property management including shipping, receiving, tagging, auditing, distribution, storage, inventory, logistics, and disposition for a high volume of Government contracts within a diverse portfolio under the direction of the Government Property Manager
- Oversee assets from acquisition to disposal by documenting and storing asset records, and by conducting inventories to reconcile all technology assets with current IT assets
- Maintain all auditable records of Contractor-acquired property and Government-furnished property in accordance with company and contract requirements
- Conduct periodic audits of Contractor-acquired property and Government-furnished property
- Provide Government Property guidance on all business proposals or contract awards
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and with legal, regulatory, ethical, and contractual requirements
- Identify potential process improvements to the Government Property Manager
- Collaborate closely and communicate effectively and professionally with STR personnel on a regular basis
- Participate in special projects as needed
Experience and Qualifications:
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Security Clearance
- Five or more (5+) years of Federal Government Property administration, Logistics Management, or IT Asset Management experience with DoD and Intelligence customers
- Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and general contracts law principles
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply federal regulations and related acquisition policies and guidance
- Must be able to travel to other STR sites as needed
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Collaborative, self-motivated, and efficient, with good business judgment and analytical skills
- Innovative, working closely with STR’s Contracts and Purchasing teams to optimize our Government Property practices, while maintaining compliance with our core contractual and regulatory requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt well to change
- Superior interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with external customers and partners as well as colleagues at all levels across the organization
- Thirst for excellence and enthusiasm to expand his/her experience and take on additional responsibilities (including but not limited to Government systems compliance and procurement administration)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or 8-10 years of relevant experience
