Atomic Arcade is a brand-new video game development studio located in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area led by industry veterans from AAA game and film studios. We are in the process of staffing up our development team with outstanding talent to build our first multi-platform, AAA game - a bold and contemporary new take on the GI JOE Universe starring the legendary character Snake Eyes! This is an excellent opportunity to not only build an outstanding AAA experience but to also help form the core foundations for the studio and team to build upon. We are seeking a creative Senior Rendering Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will develop, tune, and extend the graphics technology for our flagship game. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of graphics system and modern rendering techniques for AAA games who wants to work collaboratively with Artists and other Engineers to build a truly next-gen experience.

• Architect rendering systems in our first project.
• Collaborate and provide guidance to the art department on how best to realize their vision in the most efficient and effective manner.
• Build and use tools to measure and improve game performance.
• Develop art workflows and tooling.
• Explore ways to apply the latest graphics innovations to our project.

• 5+ years developing graphics systems.
• Shipped at least one AAA game.
• Professional Unreal Engine experience.
• Advanced understanding of C++ and shaders.
• Strong 3D mathematical skills.
• Initiative to push boundaries and a strong desire to build something outstanding.
• Understanding of modern realtime rendering techniques and tools.
• Bonus points for experience using Lumen and Nanite.
