Senior Salesforce Data Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Data Cloud Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in harnessing the power of customer data.
In this position, you will focus on developing robust data solutions within the Salesforce Data Cloud environment. Your work will enable seamless integration, management, and optimization of data workflows, granting easier access to unified and actionable insights that enhance our customer operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines within Salesforce Data Cloud for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and unification
• Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce Data Cloud and external systems utilizing APIs, ETL tools, and middleware
• Implement both real-time and batch data processing workflows that cater to specific business needs
• Configure core features within the Data Cloud such as Data Streams, Data Models, and Calculated Insights
• Develop custom solutions and scripts enhancing Salesforce Data Cloud functionality
• Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to improve system performance
• Establish robust data quality checks including deduplication and validation procedures
• Collaborate with data governance teams, ensuring adherence to both organizational and regulatory standards
• Maintain consistent data accuracy and proactively troubleshoot any data issues
• Work closely with architects, analysts, and developers to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives
• Provide crucial technical guidance during solution design and requirement gathering phases
• Lead integration testing, debug efforts and tune system performance
• Keep comprehensive documentation of data workflows, system configurations, and technical processes

• Strong knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud architecture and functional capabilities
• Experience with ETL tools such as MuleSoft or Informatica and capabilities in data modeling and transformation
• Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Java, or Apex and advanced skills in SQL for data manipulation and scripting
• Understanding of API development and various integration methods including REST and SOAP
• Deep understanding of customer data platforms, expertise in relational databases and familiarity with big data technologies
• Familiarity with various data formats including JSON, XML, CSV and an understanding of data lake and warehouse architectures
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and effectively resolve technical issues
• Experience in data workflow performance tuning and optimization
• Preferred qualifications include Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant or Salesforce Developer
• Certification in AWS, Azure, GCP, or MuleSoft is beneficial
• Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
