Get to Know the Team

The Lending team builds safe, secure and versatile loan products for all user segments. We own a range of platform primitive components such as Loan Management System, Repayments Engine and Product Flow Orchestator to name a few. We take pride in building distributed systems that have an impact on the lives of millions of users in our endeavour to out-serve the underserved population. Theories like Idempotency, CAP theorem, Distributed Consensus are more than just theoretical terms for us and have real bearings on the systems we build. The role will directly report to Engineering Manager and the role will be onsite.

Get to Know the Role 

We are looking for passionate developers who not only have the necessary skills but also offer more, to become part of our team. You will have the chance to design backend components. You will collaborate with the product, business, and program management teams to ensure delivery of your work. Additionally, you will take on a mentorship role within the team, achieving our collective goals and deliverables.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Develop applications using GoLang, ensuring clean and efficient code.
• Identify main tasks, manage them throughout the software development life cycle, and automate tasks.
• Work with multiple teams to define requirements, design new features, and deliver them.
• Lead coding standards efforts, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot, debug, and update existing software.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies to improve products and processes, and mentor junior engineers to support their growth.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Over 5 years of relevant experience with a proficiency in GoLang for developing and enhancing software applications.
• Experience designing scalable and maintainable software architectures.
• Familiarity with Lending, the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies for task management.
• Experience automating tasks using appropriate tools and scripting, and experienced in conducting code reviews to ensure high coding standards.
• Collaborate with multiple teams, guiding junior engineers, and staying updated with new technologies and security practices.
