Build Amazing - Deliver Amazing - Live Amazing - Be AmazingThe Small/Medium Business Account Executive is responsible for selling Nextiva’s cloud-based business communication software and for meeting a monthly quota. With a positive attitude and a highly, self-motivated desire to constantly learn and grow within the organization, the Small/Medium Business Account Executive is a critical role within the Nextiva family.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and apply an understanding of Nextiva’s products and how to effectively position Nextiva as the best choice for the customer
- Persuasively communicate strategies for meeting customer needs
- Master and quickly adhere to Nextiva’s sales methodology, processes and prospecting techniques.
- Own a pipeline of valuable opportunities with the responsibility and expectation of building, maintaining and closing
- Communicate appropriate product and technical information to prospective customers and conduct follow-up according to department standards
- Interact with customers at the C-suite level to form relationships and drive long-term commitment and buying decisions
- Build and manage your own book of business and drive the full sales cycle, from initial contact to close
- Conduct live product demonstrations over the phone, via webinar and in person
- Manage accounts through direct involvement with escalations and/or customer concerns which directly impact Nextiva
- Utilize sound judgement and discretion when selling solutions, including pricing and contract terms that will have a major impact on Nextiva’s profitability
- Manage and document all steps of the selling process, including but not limited to marking sales stages, coordinating complex decisions and overcoming objections at close
- Attend trade show and industry events as needed
- Complete required SalesForce.com sales process and pipeline activity tracking with detail and accuracy
- Identify sales trends, document prospect feedback and contribute constructive feedback to our internal partners regarding marketing, product and systems
- Continue training and education to keep pace with product modifications, industry changes and sales knowledge
- Demonstrate commitment and engagement through seeking out additional responsibilities, volunteering for special projects, leading by example and sharing knowledge and best practices, with flexibility and adaptability
- Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to overall sales and team results
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of sales experience, ideally with a telecommunications, technology or SaaS company
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in presentations via telephone and in person with prospective customers
- Strong emotional intelligence and intuition for steering conversations that move the sales forward
- Able to work in fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment
- Highly energetic, self-starter with a purpose driven, results oriented attitude
- Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
- Demonstrable and quantifiable success generating and closing new business
- Ambitious, career oriented, energetic, self-motivated and results driven
- Excellent presentation, negotiation and organizational skills
- Ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly
- Ability to exercise sound independent judgment
- Demonstrated maturity, integrity and the ability to perform in an entrepreneurial environment, both individually and as a team player
