The Software Engineer Role

 

Step into the role of Software Engineer, where your coding expertise will shine as you contribute to the development and maintenance of innovative software solutions.

 

You’ll collaborate closely with product designers, stakeholders, and fellow engineers to ensure that the final product meets high standards of quality and functionality.

 

Your responsibilities will include producing technical designs, coding, testing, and documentation, with the autonomy to own your deliverables from start to finish.

Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:

 

  • Drive Quality: You’ll produce efficient, well-documented code that meets quality standards, ensuring the software is robust and reliable.
  • Mentor and Guide: Share your expertise with team members, conducting peer reviews and mentoring others to uphold best practices and development standards.
  • Collaborate Effectively: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to clarify requirements, ensuring everyone is aligned and the project stays on track.
  • Innovate and Improve: Identify opportunities for product enhancements and escalate issues proactively, contributing to continuous improvement within the team.
  • Ensure Timely Delivery: Manage your workload effectively to meet deadlines, contributing to the on-time delivery of high-quality software solutions.

 

We’re looking for a teammate with:

 

  • Technical skills (must have): A good knowledge of Java, Springboot, PostgreSQL, OAuth, Spring Security.
  • Technical skills (nice to have): Knowledge of Apache Kafka, Solace, MongoDB, good understanding of the microservices architecture.
  • Bonus: Good understanding of SCIM protocol, Spring authorization server.
  • Analytic Skills: Ability to process and evaluate information, establish conclusions, identify patterns, and predict outcomes. Proficient in analyzing and reviewing requirements, risks, plans, and results.
  • Customer Focus: Capacity to anticipate customers' needs and prioritize them in your thinking and actions.
  • Risk Management: Ability to identify potential risks, measure their impact, escalate when necessary, and minimize risks through corrective actions.
  • Software Development Tools: Proficiency in using system development tools and frameworks according to established working routines.
  • Technology Knowledge: Capacity to learn new technology domains and understand current technology trends.
  • Test Knowledge: General understanding of standards, trends, test processes, methods, and models within the IT industry.
  • Test Management: Experience with automation, various types of testing (e.g., application, API, performance testing), setting up test environments, and metrics management.

 

The location for this role is:

Nantes or Suresnes or France Remote
