Your Role and Responsibilities

Do you love leading a world-class engineering team that writes clean code uses modern architecture and ships cool products that win? Are you a mentor and coach who helps good engineers become truly great? We’re looking for an engineering manager like you to join our growing team!

Responsibilities

• Lead our engineering team in building Apptio BI one of our strategic products.

• Use your skills as a mentor guide and facilitator to raise the performance of the whole team.

• Own development of Apptio BI services from concept and design to production. Collaborate with your team product managers UX and other leaders along the way.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 2+ years managing a team of software engineers

• 5+ years of experience delivering cloud software

• Proven ability to deliver to roadmap commitments in an agile environment

• Experience working with remote teams across timezones.

• Track record of raising dev team performance – via assessing talent mentoring others facilitating technical discussions and providing candid feedback

• Ability to drive large initiatives by collaborating across multiple teams

Passion for working with customers product management and senior management to deliver value to the market

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• 2+ years each in AWS Java and React or comparable technologies

• Experience with various web application development technologies and tools e.g. Spring React Redux NodeJS REST CSS and Python.

• Great communication both written and verbal appropriately calibrated to the audience

• Experience engaging with senior leadership to report on and adjust deliverables
