About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Software Engineering Manager. In this role you will be responsible for leading a team of local software engineers expanding and maintaining an integration platform that services mid-range to large-scale construction contractors throughout the United States and provides the tools to build and deploy powerful integrations and workflows to connect the various systems used to run a construction business. You will be responsible for driving team effectiveness, promoting communication and collaboration and career development of team members.

What You Will Do

• Facilitate communication upward, downwards and across project teams including project status, quality concerns, and technical issues.
• Manage personnel activities of direct reports (i.e., hires, trains, mentors, identifies development opportunities, appraises, motivates, disciplines, and recommends termination as necessary).
• Foster a productive environment and advocates for improving the way we work, including processes, tools and standards.
• Participate with an Agile Development team in all stages of product development.
• Contribute to the overall success of the Agile team by participating in team estimating meetings, designs, code reviews and pair programming activities.
• Work effectively as a full-stack developer on .NET Core services hosted in Azure and AKS and a React SPA, with an emphasis on the back-end services and infrastructure.

What Skills & Experience You Should Have

• BS degree in a field directly related to software development
• 5+ years of relevant technical experience and 1+ year(s) of experience in building and leading strong engineering teams.
• Proven experience in successfully leading software projects.
• Experience working and/or supporting B2B SaaS products.
• Experience managing software teams with short release cycles (weekly releases).
• Deep hands-on technical expertise in mobile and web-technologies
• Experience with Microsoft .NET technology stack (ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, etc.) is highly desirable.
• Experience with general purpose programming languages like C#, Java or JavaScript is a plus.
