Sr. Associate, Business Intelligence & Reporting

The Sr Associate Business Intelligence & Reporting collects, organizes and analyzes data sets to draw conclusions to maximize efficiency of internal operational processes, to manage risk, and to position the company to better serve clients through enhanced product and solutions offerings. Responsible for drawing insights from large sets of quantitative data. May use advanced analytics technologies, systems and software. Develops data-driven recommendations that support key business decisions across the company. Performs analysis and prepares forecasts and recommendations for product preferences, sales coverage, market penetration, market practices and sales trends. Researches market conditions to determine potential sales of a product or solution. Analyzes, compiles and manages market and economic research on the market's product or solution requirements and competitive environment to identify enhancements to current features and functionality.

Essential Functions:

  • Identifies intelligence needs of their designated business domain through one-to-one communications, conducting intelligence analyses, and performing market research and industry analyses.
  • Manages complex projects for the Business Intelligence department.
  • Partners with members of other groups and functions within the company to drive results.
  • Monitors fields of interest to the company, such as technology in the political/legal frameworks.

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Work Experience: 9-12 years

Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced technical skills especially around the Microsoft BI stack.
  • Strong business awareness and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity, poise, maturity and precision both written and verbal.
  • Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information/datasets.
  • Ability to engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels across the business.
  • Advanced knowledge of data management best practices, challenges, and approaches; metadata, data quality, and data stewardship.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in financial services industry.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.
