Internship position

We are excited to offer a master's project opportunity for a student specializing in computational imaging or a related field. This project will focus on investigating and developing new image reconstruction methods for Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM).

Scope and Objectives

• Investigate existing reconstruction methods used in TEM imaging.
• Develop and implement new mathematical algorithms to improve image reconstruction.
• Derive efficient TEM image acquisition parameters and schemes that effectively accommodate the reconstruction algorithms.
• Compare the performance of different reconstruction techniques.
• Provide comprehensive documentation and analysis of the findings.

As a master's student, you will actively participate in collaborative meetings, present your findings, and contribute to the academic and practical advancements in TEM imaging.

Qualifications

We encourage candidates with the following qualifications to apply:

• Currently enrolled in a university program in applied physics, mathematics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in computational imaging, image processing, and AI-based approaches.
• Proficiency in Python.
• A quick learner with a willingness to explore and learn topics outside their comfort zone and a great teammate.
• Knowledge of electron microscopy is an advantage.

Duration

The project can be tailored to fit within a 6-9 month timeframe, depending on the student's availability and academic requirements.
