Sr. PowerBI Developer

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with a strong background in data visualization, advanced Power BI features, and SQL Server. The ideal candidate will create impactful dashboards and reports to support business insights and drive decision-making processes.

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of experience in MSBI technologies, including Power BI and SQL Server.
• 2+ years of experience in Microsoft Power BI development.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL Server 2012 or later (SQL Server 2016 preferred).
• Strong expertise in DAX for creating calculated measures and columns.
• Proficiency in designing diverse data visualizations, including slicers, heat maps, scatter plots, and tree maps.
• Hands-on experience with Custom Visuals, group creation, and embed code management in Power BI.
• Familiarity with SSRS Integration to extend Power BI’s functionality.
• Knowledge of connecting Power BI Desktop to various data sources and managing data integration workflows.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop visually appealing, functional, and insightful Power BI dashboards and reports, including slicers, lines, pies, histograms, scatter plots, heat maps, and more.
• Create and optimize calculated measures and columns using DAX in Power BI Desktop.
• Publish reports to Power BI Service (app.powerbi.com) and configure data connections, scheduling, and refreshes.
• Leverage Data Gateway for data refreshes and manage the Content Pack Library.
• Integrate SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) with Power BI to enhance reporting capabilities.
• Connect Power BI Desktop to diverse data sources for robust data integration.
• Develop advanced calculations, including aggregate, date, logical, string, and table functions, to enhance report functionality.
• Create and manage custom visuals and embed codes for personalized reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into actionable data visualizations.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Power BI application development for data visualization and process optimization.
• Strong understanding of data refresh strategies and Power BI gateway management.
• Ability to deliver clear, actionable insights through well-designed dashboards and reports.
