Position Overview:

As an EHS Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in environmental health and safety practices within our organization. This internship offers exposure to various aspects of EHS management and provides valuable insights into the field for individuals pursuing a career in occupational safety and health or a related field.

Here are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do:

1. Assist with the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and programs under the guidance of experienced professionals.
2. Conduct inspections and audits of facilities to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
3. Support incident investigations and contribute to root cause analyses to prevent recurrence and improve safety performance.
4. Assist in the development and delivery of EHS training programs for employees to promote awareness of safety practices and regulations.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address EHS-related concerns and integrate safety considerations into business processes.
6. Assist in the maintenance of records and documentation related to EHS activities, including incident reports, training records, and regulatory permits.
7. Participate in environmental monitoring and sampling activities to assess and mitigate potential environmental risks.
8. Support the coordination of emergency response drills and activities to ensure preparedness for accidents or emergencies.
9. Stay updated on relevant EHS regulations, standards, and best practices to support continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Undertake special projects and assignments as directed by EHS managers to gain exposure to various aspects of EHS management.

Basic Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or recently attained a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in environmental health and safety.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment or by oneself.
• Basic knowledge of EHS regulations and principles is preferred but not required.

Relevant Experience:

• Previous internships or coursework related to environmental health and safety is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software tools.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic very fast-paced work environment.
• Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
• An ability to gamify safety training to make them fun, entertaining, and engaging!
• An ability to think differently to bend and flex to meet the needs of the organization.
• Unwavering integrity but you should also be fun and personable.
