Introduction
System Services Representatives are the primary contact point to customers for the coordination of IBM Hardware IBM System Software and Service delivery tasks. They will closely work with customers and handle the service requests from the beginning till the closure while ensuring proper preventive maintenance measures & healthy operational and environmental factors in place.

Your Role and Responsibilities
This person will be responsible to support a large territory of critical IBM AIX/Linux customers. This role is for an individual contributor responsible for on-site installation maintenance and repair of IBM power systems storage systems and associated components software and operating systems in a datacenter environment. They advise clients on preventive maintenance configuration operation and environmental factors that may impact product performance or impair the client’s IT operation. They may also perform services activities such as systems assurance systems-level problem determination discontinuance and relocation of IBM and non-IBM systems and products.
He should also be capable of incident and problem management internal and external customer-driven changes network evolution guidance network testing break-fix troubleshooting and maintenance services for all aspects of data networking for IBM including but not limited to responsible for ongoing support of our global network infrastructure including routers switches datacenter network transit and transport links which connect datacenters sites to other networks and to other datacenter sites.
They are the primary technical interface to clients for the coordination of hardware and/or software support and delivery of operational services as required by the client. They are accountable to ensure a high level of client satisfaction with service delivery technical support and operational services for the client accounts. When critical situations occur they are the IBM technical interface to clients and manage the situation until they are fixed.
Proactive support for the parts ordering stocking and inventories is also a significant part of this role. This person will primarily work with the TLS Team.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Holding a bachelor degree from a recognized university in a technical discipline such as engineering computer science or information technology.


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • More than 2 years of experience specifically in IBM Power systems AIX Linux or similar IT environments
