Job Description Summary
As the Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for the ongoing development and management of the Operational Technology systems at the BD Plymouth manufacturing site including the Business Processes and Systems (SAP, SFOL, eDHR and Apriso, amongst others).
You will partner with a broad range of key stakeholders to ensure that data remains relevant to the functions it is driving and that any changes are subject to the appropriate corporate or local change control processes.

Key responsibilities and duties:
- Supporting Capex and Cost Centre spend management relating to project and departmental budgets along with accurately forecasting spending profiles.
- Maintenance of Material Master for Manufacturing Materials, including management of the full material 'life cycle', creation and maintenance of Bills of Materials and Routings, and coordination of the maintenance of all other master data elements.
- Work with Project Leaders and Change Coordinators to ensure that all change requests are implemented using the approved BD methodology and have the appropriate level of authorisation and documentation.
- Deliver appropriate performance metrics and data analyses as required by the Business Teams to facilitate the achievement of plant objectives.
- Be the principal point of contact between the Plymouth site, the wider PAS business and the BDX global support organisation on matters relating to master data.
- Work with the wider BDX Process and System support community to support the development and implementation of enhancements to the business systems.
- Assist with the diagnosis of the root cause of system failures, defining and undertaking the appropriate corrective actions, engaging the appropriate support (internal or external) where necessary.
- Work with Business and Functional teams to ensure that key master data and system parameters are reviewed on a regular basis to maintain validity.
- Work with Business Teams and Super Users to ensure that end-users carry out transactional activity in accordance with business requirements.
- Work with the Business and Functional Leaders to identify wants and needs in Business Systems and develop and prioritise strategies to meet those needs to drive process improvement.
- Work with the BD Excellence Continuous Improvement teams on improvement projects.
- Support BDX-driven initiatives.
- Co-ordinate Business Process and System changes and organise testing or approval of changes.
- Individuals have the authority to execute all responsibilities detailed within their job description and any procedures or processes in C2C or otherwise.
- Carry out other duties as deemed appropriate by the Operational Technology Leader.
About you:
- Experience and understanding of all SAP modules or a similar product is essential.
- Several years experience in a related environment, ideally medical device manufacture or pharmaceutical or demonstrated capability.
- Experience and working knowledge of change control processes within a regulated medical device high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrable experience of business systems, with a keen interest in the OT environment and the interface between the IT and production environments.
- Good understanding of the requirements and nature of modern business systems.
- Significant experience working in a key functional role in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, or IT
- Project delivery and/or quality systems training/certification is a distinct advantage.
- Understanding of OT systems such as optical metrology systems, vision inspection systems, would be advantageous but not essential.
