Systems Engineer- Midvale, UT (Hybrid Schedule)

Zions is seeking a Windows Client System, Engineer.

We are looking for a motivated Windows Client System Engineer to join our End User Computing team. In this exciting role, you will work collaboratively with system engineers, database administrators, and security engineers, application owners to manage an existing Microsoft Configuration Manager infrastructure and Intune environment.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include operational stability, implementation, lifecycle management, vulnerability remediation, and administration for the Configuration Manager infrastructure and all Windows clients. • Utilize Configuration Manager and Intune to engineer, integrate, design, automate, and deploy various Windows components, including OS and application patches, scripts, and application packages
• Evaluate, improve, and maintain information security throughout the Windows client infrastructure
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and reduce human intervention time on tasks.
• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
• Ensure technical documentation exists for all systems and is kept up to date.
• Document system configurations to include passwords, access controls, version numbers, revision numbers, patch and compliance levels, and inventory to include hostnames, TCP/IP addresses

Qualifications

• 4+ years of advanced knowledge of Microsoft Configuration Manager
• Extensive knowledge of Windows client Operating Systems, Active Directory, Group Policy
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Office 365, and cyber security
• Working knowledge of Information Technology infrastructure components (firewall, database, operating system, network)
• Effectively communicate problems and solutions verbally and in writing to internal customers and management.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or other related fields. A combination of education and experience may meet the qualifications.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with customers, stakeholders, management, and staff employees.
• Ability to adapt to change and remain stable in stressful situations.
• Ability to set and maintain high-quality work standards.
• Ability to prioritize work, carry out assignments, and complete tasks within deadlines with little supervision.
• Ability to mentor junior-level engineers.

Working knowledge of enterprise desktop and application virtualization platforms and management tools.

Preferred

• 2+ years of extensive knowledge of Microsoft Intune
• Working knowledge of PowerShell
• Use native, add-on, third-party tools to troubleshoot malfunctions and optimizations. Tools include Resource Kits, Development Kits, and commercial tools.
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow incident management tool.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps for EUC roadmap management and strategic objectives
