Job Summary

In this role, you will report to the Site Services Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel - and our customers - to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

What we're looking for

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED is a prerequisite.
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is preferred.

Experience:

• Proven experience in a leadership role (preferably within the biopharma or pharmaceutical industry.)
• Strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment while maintaining strict adherence to quality and compliance standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License and Access to Reliable Transportation
• Demonstrated proficiency in time management, forecasting, and/or expediting
• Capability to independently prioritize multiple complex tasks efficiently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity of CisPro or equivalent chemical management database system
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills

How you will thrive and create an impact

The Team Lead oversees the daily operations of the onsite SOW tailored to smaller customer locations' needs. They supervise and guide a small team of Avantor on-site personnel, serving as the primary contact for the customer. Additionally, they actively engage in the work alongside the supervised team members.

Their responsibilities include conducting customer meetings, analyzing data in collaboration with leadership, managing stockrooms alongside associates, offering assistance for various projects, and conducting small training sessions annually.

• Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the team, ensuring adherence to industry standards, safety protocols, and operational excellence.
• Operations Oversight: Oversee day-to-day site service operations, including maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of equipment crucial to biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of service technicians, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (such as FDA, GMP, and SOPs), conducting audits, and maintaining documentation to ensure quality assurance.
• Client Relationship Management: Collaborate closely with clients, understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and ensuring exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Resource Management: Manage resources effectively, including budgets, inventory, and external vendor relationships to optimize service delivery.
• Problem Solving: Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues promptly, implementing preventive measures to minimize disruptions to operations.

Internal candidates

Should possess knowledge of Inventory Management, Process Mapping, and the ability to create or draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Optional skills include being SAP trained or having experience in team leadership. Experience with Cispro and working with chemicals is advantageous.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$61,200.00 - $102,000.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
