Tech Lead (M/F/D)

Your main tasks will include:

• Tech Leadership
  Create a cohesive strong development team. You take responsibility for recruiting and developing world-class engineers and foster a shared and lived engineering culture of ownership and quality.
  Collaborate with product managers on the continuous improvement and implementation of critical processes in the context of product development and delivery.
  Design and ensure processes in compliance with regulatory frameworks.

• Discovery, Design and Deliver solutions
  As Tech Lead you shape the product strategy, drive discovery and architect solutions together with business, product and design bringing in technical perspective. You help to find, design and deliver the most meaningful solutions to help our learners and the university be successful.

• Software Engineering
  Be a hands-on builder leading by example. Pragmatic in enabling rapid value delivery by building and shipping fast, while balancing speed with quality and reusability in view of code as well as architecture. Ensure use of technology incl. A.I., creating high quality code and APIs for openness and collaboration with the global community.

YOUR PROFILE

• Experienced in Software Engineering
  You have 7+ years of professional hands on experience as a Software Engineer and have a deep understanding of the technologies required for an end-to-end system; from web to native apps, to data architecture, analysis and data pipelines. You are comfortable in Node.JS / TypeScript

• Experienced in Delivering Value
  Pragmatic in building and shipping a solution fast, while balancing the effort to make it reusable for future.

• Experienced in AWS
  You have experience with AWS (we use ECS, DynamoDB, Lambdas & Amplify, to name a few). You understand AWS best practices (e.g. security & networking) and are comfortable with managing Infrastructure-as-Code

• Experienced in Architecture
  You are comfortable in leading architectural decision making and understand the pros and cons of each; SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB / PostgreSQL); schema technologies (e.g. GraphQL), caching layers (e.g. Redis / ElastiCache); containerization (e.g. Docker); architectural patterns (service, micro-service, event-driven, serverless); Auth-as-a-Service (e.g. Auth0 / Cognito)

• English
  You have good communication skills with fluency in English
