Technical Lead -- Core Networks

Role Summary

The role of the Lab Support Engineer is to contribute for the creation and maintenance of Mavenir Radio Access Network (RAN) System Test lab. The job profile includes management, bring up and integration of 4G/5G Core Network in lab as well as troubleshooting issues.

The work location is in Dallas, TX and could involve working with test and development engineers across other Mavenir sites in addition to working within the team in Richardson, TX. It offers the opportunity to contribute to advanced wireless technology

Key Responsibilities

• Management of EPC and 5GC in lab environment
• End to end integration of EPC and 5GC with RAN test setups
• Troubleshooting of issues related to Core connectivity

Job Requirements

• Good knowledge of end-to-end call flow of 4G/5G networks
• Knowledge on 5G NFs like AMF, SMF, UPF, NRF, NSSF, UDM and UDR
• EPC deployment and integration
• Upgradation of 4G/ 5G core based on new patch releases.
• Knowledge in SIM writing, subscriber provisioning and APN creation
• Should have good IP routing knowledge/experience
• Sound understanding of solving problems tools like Wireshark / Spirent.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic or Computer Science
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience including 2 years of domain expertise
• Familiarity with 3GPP 5G NR and LTE standards
