Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Position will be part of the O&M Transition and Warranty team. The Transition Technical Coordinator will implement and facilitate the technical aspects of the O&M transition process for specific AES Clean Energy projects.
- Travel to sites to participate in the QA of "first builds", Punchlist generation and verification.
- Lead the technical aspects of on-site Transition visit when transitioning projects from Construction to O&M, for assigned projects.
- Prepare meeting agenda for specific project transition visits.
- Interface with Engineering QA/QC, Engineering Commissioning, and the Project team to help ensure knowledge transfer, proper on-site EPC training of site O&M personnel, transfer of required technical documentation.
- Actively participate in O&M transition of DG projects and engage in punchlist generation with the assigned Execution Engineer.
- Receive the transition of projects that will ultimately be maintained by a 3rd Party O&M organization and then transition the project O&M to the 3rd Party when appropriate.
- Assist with equipment warranty repair coordination when required.
- Conduct portions of safety and/or technical training for new technicians, at Indianapolis training center, periodically.
- Train O&M technicians on project sites in specific areas of expertise as applicable.

Experience:
- Electrical systems knowledge
- Power industry background
- Renewable energy O&M or EPC experience
- Solar Tech level II skills
- Solar project Commissioning experience
- Overall knowledge of Utility and/or Distributed Generation solar projects
- QA/QC experience
- Technical training experience
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
- This job will require frequent travel to project sites for coordination of project transitions, up to ~50-60% of the time.
- This job requires walking project sites and being on feet for prolonged periods of time.
- This job also operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
