4. JOB DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
(Describe between 5 and 10 essential responsibilities or duties of this position in order of importance)
- Leading a team of UX/UI designers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality design output and to elevate the skills of our existing team. Empower the team by helping them prioritize, focus, and work efficiently.
- Ensure that the team works along the Design Thinking process so that the solutions developed are genuinely needed and effective from the user's perspective.
- Driving the evolution of our design system to enhance product experience (e.g, establish governance guidelines; creating, maintaining, and executing a strategic roadmap for the design system’s development, …) and positioning us for growth as a mature design system facilitates scalability
- Enhancing user satisfaction by deliverung a consistent, engaging and intuitive user experience, backed by a strong design system
- Overseeing design projects from conception through to implementation, ensuring they are delivered on time, and to the highest standards. Manage resource allocation and project timelines effectively.
- Oversee and guide user research activities to gather insights and validate design concepts.
- Managing expectations and builiding relationships with senior stakeholders, and championing and defending the voice of the user, and advocating a user-centric design approach
5. JOB QUALIFICATIONS
(Education & experience necessary for this position)
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in UX/UI Design, Product Design, Visual Communication, Cognitive Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology or related field
EXPERIENCE
- Min. of 10 years of experience in a similar role, with a substantial portfolio showcasing a wide range of design work.
- Experience in working within a B2B context and a background in healthcare are a plus.
SPECIFIC SKILLS
(core competencies, key specialities, technical, human relations or managerial skills, and knowledge areas necessary)
- Proven track record of managing design projects from conception to completion.
- Experience in hiring, mentoring, and leading design teams.
- Demonstrated key leadership qualities including openness, empathy, an inclusive approach, and the capacity to provide clear direction.
- Skilled in fostering trust and ensuring a psychologically safe environment within the team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexities, meet deadlines and
- work well under pressure.
- Working proficiency in English language is required
