THE ROLE:


Apply Digital is a high-growth digital product consultancy that works with brands like, Kraft Heinz, Moderna, Lululemon, Games Workshop, Atlassian, and Arc’teryx. We are looking for a VP of Enterprise Solutions - Commerce to deliver superior results for our North American clients.In this role, you will report to the Managing Director, North America and play a pivotal role in leading the strategic direction, development, and successful delivery of commerce solutions within the North American region. This billable position requires a seasoned professional who can blend strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to drive commerce strategy, service offer development, ensure effective delivery, and optimize client satisfaction. You have extensive experience owning large accounts and building long term, trusted relationships with mid-market and enterprise clients. You use your deep expertise in eCommerce, omnichannel, digital experience and industry trends to develop and implement strategies that transform our clients, allowing them to create greater value. Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Working closely with the global Commerce CxO, develop and execute the strategic vision for regional commerce enterprise solutions and architecture, aligning with the overall business objectives of our clients.
  • Solution Design: Oversee the design and development of enterprise-level solutions, ensuring they meet the unique requirements and challenges of our clients.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical leadership and guidance on architecture best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
  • Product Development: Oversee the entire development lifecycle, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of commerce solutions. Work closely with product management teams to define product roadmaps, features, and enhancements.Implement best practices for agile development and high-quality product delivery
  • Delivery Management: Lead the delivery and implementation teams, ensuring projects are executed on time, within scope, and within budget.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve project issues, mitigate risks, and optimize project delivery processes. Implement metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve delivery efficiency.
  • Client Engagement and Satisfaction: Work closely with clients to understand their specific requirements and ensure that commerce solutions meet or exceed expectations. Collaborate with the sales and account management teams to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services. Monitor client satisfaction and implement strategies to enhance the overall client experience.
  • Team Management: Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of professionals across product development and delivery functions. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages continuous learning and growth.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the development of budgets and discuss with clients.Ā Monitor financial performance against targets and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with global growth leaders, business development, and regional delivery disciplines to drive successful outcomes for our clients and maximize business growth.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the enterprise solutions division, optimizing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Thought Leadership: Stay up-to-date with eCommerce trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies. Share insights and expertise through thought leadership initiatives, including blog posts, whitepapers, webinars, and industry events. Further establish the company as a leader in the eCommerce space in North America through innovative strategies and industry recognition.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise solutions architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex solutions for large-scale enterprise clients.
  • Proven track record of success in leading and managing eCommerce projects, driving revenue growth, and delivering exceptional client experiences in both the older ā€˜monolithic’ technologies such as Oracle ATG or SAP and newer headless, composable MACH SaaS eCommerce technologies.
  • Deep knowledge of eCommerce best practices, omnichannel operations, user experience, online merchandising, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Strong understanding of the evolution of headless SaaS eCommerce and specific knowledge of modern platforms, such as CommerceTools, BigCommerce or competing eCommerce solutions.
  • Strong understanding of ā€˜monolith to MACH/composable’ thinking and strategies. Deep expertise in enterprise architecture and modern technology architecture with a special consideration to composable and headless ecosystems including: cloud computing, microservices architecture, API design, and integration patterns.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Strong business acumen, with experience in business development, sales, and client relationship management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • An innovative thinker and a solution-focused problem solver who can juggle multiple priorities and thrives in ambiguity.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions that drive value and innovation
  • Ability to travel within North America as needed for client meetings and business development opportunities
