VP of Finance

Double Good’s mission is to create joy. We create joy with our delectable and award-winning popcorn. We create joy with our easy-to-use fundraising platform that raises a meaningful amount of money for youth sports and activities, empowering kids to pursue their dreams. We create joy through our Kids Foundation which hosts Double Good Days events across the country to bring all-ability fun to children with special needs and their families.

In recent years, Double Good has seen 40% year over year growth, and we’re excited about our future! We’re excited about the possibility of you joining our mission. We are looking for a VP of Finance to join our growing Finance team.

Location - Onsite rotating between our Chicago, Burr Ridge, and Elmhurst locations

About the role:

• Deep executive experience and expertise leading the finance function of a high-growth organization
• Lived experience across different size organizations and a variety of corporate structures, ideally experience in private company
• Professional judgement, maturity, and the ability to identify and work through conflict
• Provide financial strategy recommendations specifically as it relates to an ERP
• Demonstrated success across multiple areas in finance, such as executing the company’s financial strategy, developing plans for growth to increase company profit while reducing expenditure and managing the budget/forecasting and cash flow processes
•  Manage tax, legal, business insurance partners and agencies, while continually assessing and measuring company risk
•  Manages the treasury strategy of the company
• Ability to ensure that organizational decisions are made on the basis of data and analysis while being grounded in our mission, values, and leadership principles
• Directing accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
• Recommending improvements to ensure the integrity of a company’s financial information and structure

Experience & Skills we value:

• BA/BS in related field, MBA/CPA preferred
• 15+ years of finance experience (5+ years in management) with progressively increasing responsibilities
• Reported directly to CFO or head of finance
• Experience with building financial systems that were successfully adopted
• ERP experience, preferably within a transition/implement phase
• Change management is your strength
• Strong builder, who has evolved organizational teams and structures
