At US Mobile, we’re building the next-generation Super Carrier—a carrier that’s deeply innovative, user-centric, and obsessively focused on making connectivity simpler, smarter, and more accessible. We see a future where flexibility and transparency are the norms, and our aim is to deliver a seamless mobile experience that redefines how people think about telecom.

Role Overview

As the VP of Operations at US Mobile, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and scaling systems and processes that support hyper-growth. You will leverage your background in management consulting and high-growth startups to lead cross-functional initiatives, optimize internal workflows, and own strategic execution. This role is highly technical, and you will be expected to demonstrate a strong command of SQL and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for operational excellence, aligned with the company’s long-term goals as a Super Carrier.

Lead critical initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance the customer experience.

Operational Leadership

Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless collaboration across Product, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, Customer Support, and other teams.

Develop, implement, and refine KPIs to measure and improve operational effectiveness.

Data-Driven Optimization

Leverage advanced SQL skills to extract, analyze, and interpret data for actionable insights.

Identify trends, diagnose performance gaps, and recommend scalable solutions.

Team Management & Development

Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing operations team, setting clear goals and expectations.

Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.

Project Management

Drive cross-functional projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives and resource constraints.

Communicate timelines, updates, and risks effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

Risk Management & Compliance

Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate operational risks in a rapidly evolving industry.

Stay up-to-date on relevant regulations, ensuring that the organization meets or exceeds compliance standards.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

7+ years of experience in a top-tier management consulting firm, with a demonstrated track record of leading complex client engagements.

Proven success in a senior operations and strategy role within a high-growth startup environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or MS) preferred but not required.

Technical Skills

High proficiency in SQL—capable of building optimized queries and turning data into impactful insights.

Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) and CRM/ERP systems is a strong plus.

Comfortable working with large datasets from diverse sources.

Soft Skills & Traits

Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with a passion for coaching and developing talent.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
