Summary
This position is located at US Mint,Manufacturing Directorate - Philadelphia - Facilities Management Division. As a General Maintenance Supervisor you will serve as the manager of the Utilities Section of the Facilities Management Division and reports to the Facilities Management Division Chief, with responsibility for the design, installation, testing, troubleshooting, repair, monitoring, and preventative maintenance of all facilities related equipment and the physical plants at the Mint.

Conditions of Employment

A one-year probationary period may be required.
A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
Must successfully complete a background investigation.

Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume.
For the GS-13 - you must have one year of experience at the GS-12 level in the federal service or equivalent that is directly related to the position, and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes the following:
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining major facility systems to include HVAC, Electrical, and Wastewater; AND
- Experience evaluating the work performance of subordinates; AND
- Experience assigning work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of the assignments, and the capabilities of subordinates; AND
- Experience developing, planning, and implementing both short and long-term goals, procedures and plans.
For the GS- 12 you must have one year of experience at the GS-11 level in the federal service or equivalent that is directly related to the position, and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes the following:
- Experience troubleshooting major facility systems to include HVAC, Electrical, and Wastewater; AND
- Experience assigning work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of the assignments, and the capabilities of subordinates; AND
- Experience developing, planning, and implementing both short and long-term goals, procedures and plans.
