Summary  This position is in the Architect of the Capitol, Senate Office Buildings, Painting Branch. Serves as a skilled journey level Painter-Refinisher and does coating work on furnishings and buildings. Learn more about this agency Requirements Conditions of Employment You must be a U.S. Citizen. Qualifications You must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements by the closing date of the job announcement. You must meet the following SCREEN-OUT(S) required for this position. Performs journey-level Painter-Refinisher work without more than normal supervision including:  Applies decorative painting techniques to historical ornate designs. Applies primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or metal, for finish coats. Refinishes and/or finishes walnut and mahogany doors, metal doors and cabinets, etc., to match historical natural wood finishes in historic buildings.
