Job Description
Summary
This position is located at the US Mint, Manufacturing Department, Denver Mint, in the Plant Manager, Plant Engineering Division, Industrial Maintenance Branch, Facility Maintenance Section. The purpose of the position is to exercise a high degree of judgment, initiative and ingenuity in locating sources of malfunctions in a wide range of situations and in recommending measures to prevent breakdowns.

Conditions of Employment
All employees must wear face masks while on MINT property when required by CDC and Federal guidelines.
A one-year probationary period may be required.
Must successfully complete a background investigation.
Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.

Shift Work: This facility operates on a 24 hour per day, three-shift basis, 5 days a week. Work schedules may vary and assignment to a specific shift cannot be guaranteed. The successful applicant must be available to work on all three shifts on a rotational basis.
May be required to wear safety clothing and/or equipment required by the position. This may include safety shoes, hard hats, hearing protection, gloves, masks, etc.
Pass a pre-employment physical examination.
Must pass COLOR VISION TESTING.
Must have pipefitting accreditations, journeyman or a master plumbing license, National Certification from the National Inspection Testing and Certification Corporation.

Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.
You must meet the screen-out element Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision, normally addressed at the beginning of the online questions. To meet the screen-out element, applicants must have: Completed vocational training or an apprenticeship as a Plumber / Pipefitter and have experience working in this field under normal supervision.
