Your Opportunity + Impact
The BIM (Building Information Modeling) Coordinator focuses on project-related BIM coordination tasks, including standards adherence, 3D coordination, and model management. The BIM Coordinator assists in developing and implementing company BIM standards and provide design technology support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops BIM Execution Plans and hosts project kick-offs and coordination meetings.
- Drafts coordination and submission emails for deliverables.
- Reports regularly to the Project Manager on project progress and adheres to deadlines set by the Project Manager or BIM Manager.
- Reviews RFPs and SOWs to identify digital deliverable requirements and adapts to new projects and efficiently assess their needs.
- Performs clash detection and communicates issues.
- Prepares and update BIM models for submissions.
- Supervises the production of drawings from BIM models, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards and schedules.
- Maintains records of all issued and received models/drawings, Clash Reports, RFIs, and BIM Register in accordance with company standards.
- Supports the project team with BIM modeling and related activities and ensures the quality of digital deliverables on assigned projects.
- Assists in developing and maintaining Design Technology Standards, content libraries, templates, and workflows under the supervision of the BIM Manager.
- Ensures all models are compatible and BIM data is accessible to all project participants.
- Collaborates with the design team and other departments to identify goals and communicate procedural changes.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of design technology with the capability to collaborate with IT on product issue resolution and provides cross-team support for BIM software.
Education and Experience
- Education: Associate’s degree in an AEC-related field.
- Experience: Minimum of Three (3) years of experience in design coordination within a multi-disciplinary environment, across various project scales and sectors and a minimum of 5 years of experience with moderate to advanced proficiency in design technologies such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM360/ACC.
- Licensure/Certification: Autodesk Certified Professional or CM-BIM Certified Professional, preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrates a strong desire to expand knowledge and take on new responsibilities within the architectural field.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Sketch-Up, Photoshop, and other related software programs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines effectively.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a project team.
