Job Description

Act-On is looking for a dynamic, results-driven Director of Demand Generation to join our marketing team. The team's goal is to generate pipeline and revenue by creating interest and engaging prospects throughout the buyer's journey -- across all channels. This role needs to strike the balance of being attentive to detail, creative and analytical, and requires a deep understanding of the marketing automation buying cycle, knowledge of the marketing automation marketplace and marketing trends, and an ability to conceptualize, create, implement and optimize integrated, creative, online/offline marketing programs to generate pipeline and revenue.

Additionally, this role requires strategic marketing leadership, cross-team and organizational collaboration, excellent communications, and a passion for developing, iterating on, and scaling integrated initiatives across marketing and sales. This role will report to the SVP of Marketing.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Work with Marketing and Sales Leadership to create strategic plans that align to business goals. Report on performance to executive leadership.
  • Create demand generation plans, and then work with a team to execute plans to optimal outcome and to generate pipeline.
  • Build and execute multi channel campaigns and programs at scale to drive brand awareness, increase inbound customer acquisition and engagement, and grow pipeline generation.
  • Develop a mid-market/enterprise strategy, including defining focus segments, overall strategy and the design and execution of marketing campaigns and tactics to reach buyers within these accounts.
  • Work closely with SDR teams to follow up on campaigns and develop pipeline.
  • Oversee and manage a high-powered demand generation team to execute strategy at high quality levels that provide strong ROI. Ensure the team is continuously learning and growing their skills, career potential and understanding of the market.
  • Continually assess demand generation effectiveness across channels and campaigns to provide a detailed analysis and to ensure adjustments are found early and implemented.
  • Work with partners to identify demand generation and funnel building activities that work for both parties and drive pipeline. Embed into the overall lead generation mix.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product and other marketing team members to ensure strategy and message is consistent and creative.
  • Manage the demand generation budget. Recommend shifts in spend due to changing conditions and performance.
  • Leverage Marketing Automation, CRM, ABM, Tableau and other tools to drive effective operations and analyze performance

Who You Are:

  • 7-10 years of B2B demand generation experience
  • Experience working at B2B SaaS companies, selling into mid-market and enterprise companies
  • Ability to develop/edit compelling, succinct, error-free marketing materials and campaign messaging
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills to interpret data, generate insights and translate it into actionable changes
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively
  • Positive, high-energy, team-focused attitude

Software/Tactics You Need to Know:

  • Marketing Automation platforms such as Act-On, Marketo, Hubspot, Eloqua
  • SalesForce - strong in reporting/analytics
  • Tableau or similar BI software, as a user (not data analyst)
  • Google Analytics

What We Offer:

  • Generous Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits
  • Flexible time off
  • Unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning
  • Monthly wellness allowance
  • Monthly commuter allowance
  • Stock Options and 401k plan with discretionary matching

  • This role is eligible for bonus/variable compensation in addition to base pay

Ideally, this candidate will be based in Portland, OR.
