The Role:

In this position, you will support the Payroll & Rewards operations in the Nordic Countries (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland).

Main responsibilities include:

  • Payroll Data & Systems Processing and Management.
  • Optimising Payroll practices, aligning to company policies whilst remaining compliant.
  • Post payroll analysis reporting / documentation to Finance (monthly journals, reconciliations, year end audit assistance).
  • Be point of contact with external 3rd party statutory bodies / providers and internally with employees and Finance.
  • Future flexibility to work on other EMEA payrolls. 

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Copenhagen (hybrid working model).

What you will do:

  • Executing orderly and punctual Payroll / Benefit processing and operation in the Nordic Area ensuring employees /statutory contributions and any 3rd party contributions(pension contributions) are paid in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all relevant payroll data (absence, pensions, benefits in kind data) is logged accurately and processed and submitted accordingly on a timely basis to remain compliant with the tax laws of the country and policies of the Business.
  • Monthly / annual (year end activities) payroll reports to Finance
  • Contribute to developing and implementing concepts and strategies within the Payroll / Rewards area in line with Business objectives for the Nordics area and EMEA. 
  • Harmonising commonPayroll Practices across EMEA.
  • Reviewing, updating Payroll Processing documentation.
  • Invoice Reconciliation / Management
  • Point of contact with employees for any payroll queries, time-keeping / absence management as well as 3rd party providers

What you will need:

  • Ideally educated to degree level with focus on Payroll, HCD, Compensation & Benefits area or professional qualifications in this area or comparable.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience and proven successful track record in Payroll Operations and Systems, Management of Compensation and Benefits, ideally obtained in the Nordic Area.
  • Have good knowledge of Personnel & Payroll controls and strategies.  Understanding of Personnel Practices, tax & social insurance law, company pensions, collective agreements.  Ideally a good understanding of Payroll Accounting.
  • Payroll experience of other European countries a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR Information Systems – ideally Workday, Cloudpay, ADP Streamline, SAP.  Experience with Implementing HRIS / Payroll systems a plus
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft applications required (Excel, Word, Powerpoint )
  • Business fluent in English, both written and communication skills. 
  • Proficiency in other languages a plus
