Finance Manager, EV Charging Systems

Cars, trucks and buses produce nearly one-fifth of America's greenhouse-gas emissions (GHGs), all of which must be eliminated to achieve the federal target of net-zero emissions by 2050. In response, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) provides $7.5 billion to develop the country's EV-charging infrastructure. The goal is to install 500,000 public chargers-publicly accessible charging stations compatible with all vehicles and technologies-nationwide by 2030. However, even the addition of half a million public chargers could be far from enough. In a scenario in which half of all vehicles sold are zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) by 2030-in line with federal targets-we estimate that America would require over 1M EV public chargers to meet future EV demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly close process, taking ownership of the financials, and preparing timely and accurate financial statements and other reports as required

• Coordinate intercompany transactions and other corporate requests and requirements

• Oversee accounts payable process, ensuring all accounts are paid timely; manage bank accounts • Oversee accounts receivable and collections process, working closely with sales and operations teams to ensure complete and timely customer billing

• Research and make determination on new and/or complex accounting matters to comply with U.S. GAAP

• Partner with operations team on oversight and management of inventory; lead annual physical inventory process

• Maintain documented system of accounting policies and operations; develop solutions to improve efficiency of operations and processes; ensure adherence of processes to corporate SOX requirements; assist business with maintaining ISO certification status • File reports and ensure compliance with local and state laws regarding finances, tax filings and reporting

• Act as a thought partner for Finance Director and Plant Manager; provide data-driven decisions and recommendations to drive strategic vision and tactical efforts of the business; create and maintain effective business partner relationships across the organization

• Other projects as assigned by business leadership

• Lead, guide and mentor accounting team, including hiring future team members as necessary

Required Skills

BorgWarner is seeking an experienced Finance Manager with a proven track record of supporting the rapid growth of an industry-leading business. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across the organization.

Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications

• At least 10 years of demonstrated experience in related roles in an accounting organization

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technology driven environment, and to work across several departments of the company

• Excellent computer skills including accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with NetSuite or OneStream is a plus

• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, cost accounting, cost control principles and U.S. GAAP

• Must be results-oriented and demonstrate the ability to work independently and in a team environment as well as to lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams

• Bachelor's Degree required; CPA highly desired

• Experience working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment is desired

• Experience working in a light manufacturing environment is preferred
