Job Description
The Owners Forum is a network of leading international family businesses. The members of our network are among the most important companies in their respective countries and are represented by their owners.
Around six times a year, the members of our network come together for forums and member-hosted meetings in international business hubs and places like Bali, Berlin, London, New York, Paris, Rome, Silicon Valley, Singapore or Seoul. In addition to issues relating to family entrepreneurship, where they share best practices, success stories and lessons learned, the forum takes a look at global economic, social and cultural topics and promotes personal and business exchange.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a full-time Head of Content & Research (all genders).

Background
-
Master in business, business journalism, economics, business journalism or with a management focus (e. g. MBA)
-
Work experience as an Executive Assistant, Management Consultant to a C-Level Executive, Business Journalist, Senior Researcher or similar position ideally in a fast-paced start-up environment

English native or C2 levelÂ

Excellent research skillsÂ

Interest in global business & management topics especially in the context of global family businesses

Strong analytical and conceptual skillsÂ

High affinity for economic and financial data

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and a proactive entrepreneurial attitude

Strong presentation and communication skills, both spoken and written

Ability to engage with senior stakeholders from a wide range of cultural and professional background

Excellent command of Microsoft Office applications, knowledge of leading digital CRM platforms e.g. Salesforce is an advantage

Your Tasks
Senior leadership responsibility for two key areas within The Owners Forum, working closely with our two founders as well as senior project managers for each geographic region
1. Content Curation
You are responsible for planning the programme for our five two-day forums and two to four one-day member-hosted meetings per year. In this role you will be responsible for:

Thematic development of relevant sessions and detailed research on a variety of topics including family business governance, technology and industry and geopolitical, social and impact investing themes.

Research of relevant speakers for our forums, external as well as from within our group of membersÂ
-
Preparation calls for sessions with staff members and speakers, documentation of preparation calls, initiating and following up next steps

Content preparation of the forum sessions â developing short briefings and questions for the moderators for each sessionÂ

Strong coordination with project managers regarding project management timings and forum deadlines
2. ResearchÂ
You are responsible for ensuring that new members fulfill our membership requirements. In this role you will be charged with:

Coordination and conduction of research and due diligence on potential new membersÂ

Briefing with founders and team members and presentation of research results and recommendations

Further development of existing due diligence structures and guidelines
