Maxis is looking for a Head of Product for strategic live service initiatives supporting The Sims ecosystem of games and experiences. This collaborative and player-experience focused leader will lead a cross-functional team to create new ways of interacting with The Sims. You will align the efforts of studio, marketing and central teams around your vision, set and execute against milestones, and achieve ambitious KPIs. You will report to the Franchise GM, be a part of the Sims Franchise leadership team, and contribute to the success of the franchise strategy.
Responsibilities
Design and execute product initiatives spanning The Sims experiences that are rewarding, engaging, and build community across The Sims' wide audience of fans.
Establish and achieve the objectives and key results of the initiatives including financial, strategic, quality, and team health.
Build the team and establish the processes required to deliver the objectives of these entrepreneurial initiatives.
Leverage research, data and experience to establish and deliver on roadmaps that align product, marketing, and commercial efforts and can flex to meet the dynamic needs of our business and players.
Communicate with stakeholders around program strategies, outcomes, and needs.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience developing live consumer tech or games in a product management or producer capacity. You are a pro at using data to inform your decisions and iterating on results.
Outstanding results with both setting and executing strategy for a creative live service consumer product or major feature suite. You have shipped new products and updated features and live services. You can draw from experiences integrating existing products and making build/buy decisions about new ones.
Successfully worked within a matrixed environment, communicating effectively and achieving buy-in through influence
Passion for leading, recruiting and developing best-in-class distributed teams within a complex business environment.
Preference for those that have designed or implemented player rewards.
US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.
EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $241,250 - $342,400• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $214,950 - $342,400• Jersey City, NJ:
º $258,800 - $342,400• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $214,950 - $314,350• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $214,950 - $331,200
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
