Job Description
Headquartered in Palo Alto, CA, Gator Bio is the leading developer and manufacturer of Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI) instrumentation and consumable products. We provide label-free BLI solutions involving instrumentation, software, and consumables utilized for measuring real-time label-free biomolecular interaction. General applications include quantitation, kinetic analysis, and epitope binning. These products are utilized within the life science markets including biopharma, drug discovery, pharmaceuticals, biotech, and academia.
We are looking for a dual role, Inside Sales and Technical Support Specialist, combining customer relationship management with technical expertise to drive sales and provide exceptional support. This role requires strong communication skills, a customer-centric mindset, and technical aptitude to address client inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and recommend solutions.
Responsibilities
- Inside Sales ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Identify and quality leads, managing the sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets for consumables and servicesÂ
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers through phone, email, and online communication.Â
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products, services and solutionsÂ
- Prepare and deliver sales quotes and service proposalsÂ
- Follow up on post-sales inquiries to ensure customer success and identify upselling opportunitiesÂ
- Collaborate with marketing team to support lead generation campaignÂ
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales activities in CRM softwareÂ
- Coordinate service contract with service team to ensure success at customer site.
- Technical Support ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers requiring technical assistanceÂ
- Document technical issues and resolutions to contribute to a knowledge base.Â
- Address complaints or concern promptly and professionallyÂ
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development and operations, to ensure customer needs are met.Â
- Work closely with Customer Success Manager and Service Engineer team to resolve any customer issues and resolution.
Qualifications
- B.S., M.S.degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of 2+ years successful capital equipment scientific sales experience.Â
- Expertise in Bio-Layer Interferometry or Surface Plasmon Resonance products preferred.Â
- Sales-driven individual.Â
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Â
- Self-motivated, well-organized, ability to develop contacts and build rapport at all levels.Â
- Experience successfully meeting/exceeding sales goals.Â
- Experience creating and executing sales territory plan with focus on long-term relationships.Â
- Must reside within the territory and be able to travel 20%, including overnight travel.Â
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SFDC or other related CRM sales funnel tools.Â
