- You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driverβs license.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position requires shift work.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below.
This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Ability to supervise the activities of the work crews by leading workers, passing along instructions, assigning tasks, enforcing safety requirements; 2) repair high voltage power generating and distributing equipment (e.g. generators, transformers, switches, circuit breakers, recording instruments, and control systems; 3) Ability to read circuit drawings and diagrams to identify electrical problems; 4) Use high voltage test tools (e.g. oscillators, meggers, phase sticks, and fault finding equipment); 5) Install transformers, capacitors, insulators, switches, circuit breakers and fuses for main distribution lines over 600V.
