IAM Ping Engineer (Remote)

Summary:

As a member of the Cyber Security Risk Management team, the Identity Provider (IdP) Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and operating the enterprise IdP Platform (Ping) and accompanying modules (PingID, Ping Directory, and Ping Federate). This role is also expected to have expert level knowledge of integrating the Ping Ecosystem with various other "cloud-native" Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms such as Azure AD and Oracle Identity Cloud Service (IDCS) to provide seamless application authentication and authorization for the enterprise. The Specialist will guide technology decisions to reflect approved IAM architectures, business impact and exposures, emerging threats, vulnerabilities, regulatory requirements, and risks. The Specialist will work with Enterprise Architects, other functional area architects, and security specialists to ensure adequate IAM solutions are in place throughout the enterprise including CHS-owned facilities and data centers, 3rd party cloud IT systems and platforms, and will communicate the risks and solutions to business and IT partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leading the build, configuration, implementation, troubleshooting and/or administration of assigned technology per IAM engineering standard operating procedures; execute and design IAM engineering processes
• Drives complex design, development, implementation, and integration activities aligned to the enterprise Identity Provider (IdP) platform - Ping and those accompanying technologies including, but not limited to PingOne, PingID, PingDirectory, PingFederate as well as identified Cloud-Native platforms (e.g., MS - Azure AD, Oracle IDCS)
• Monitor output of enterprise IdP Platform to ensure effective operation and respond to trouble tickets/events following standard operating procedure; provide independent analysis/Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Support and independently execute both scheduled engineering build/configuration events as well as Tier 2/3 incident(break/fix) events including 24x7 support
• Identify, develop and document configuration/design improvements/optimization for supporting continuous engineering and systems performance improvement
• Collaborate with IAM Architect on the creation of Product/Capability Roadmaps that mature the organization with respect to the different IAM sub-capabilties of Identity Management and Access Management and respective services with respect to the enterprise IdP Platform (Authentication, Authorization, Identity Federation, Directory Services, etc.)

  • Expert level understanding and experience with I LDAP, Radius, OAuth, OIDC, and SAML.

Qualifications:

Required Education - High school diploma

Preferred Education - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems (or other related field), or equivalent work experience.

Required Experience:

• Duration
  • 5+ years of IT or information security, and
  • 3+ years of Identity Provider technology (Ping preferred)
• Activities:
  • Designed, implemented, and/or integrated applications with IAM technology within "on premise" and/or 3rd Party cloud platforms.
  • Served as engineering thought leader for IAM technology and influenced the strategy to address internal or external business and regulatory issues with respect to protection of sensitive data.
  • Worked in process-driven structured environments, and participated in process optimization activities.
• Competencies:
  • Advanced knowledge of security principles, issues, and Identity Provider (IdP) implementations across "on premise" and/or 3rd Party cloud platforms
  • Proactive identification and solving of complex problems
  • Strong understanding of systems development lifecycle to provide technical leadership for multifunctional projects or initiatives.
  • Effective communication of technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience:

3+ years of Identity Provider technology (Ping preferred)
