As our IT Sr. IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will work as part of the Network Services Engineering team to design, document, and maintain wireless networking standards to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Your expertise in wireless technologies and protocols will be crucial in providing seamless connectivity and meeting the organization's networking requirements. Additionally, you will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of wireless network infrastructure. This is a hybrid role and hybrid is defined as needing to work in office 2 days per week and able to travel in for IT events and meetings as necessary.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, then design wireless network solutions based on those requirements and industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain wireless network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, standards and runbooks.
  • Analyze existing wireless network deployments, identify risks, and propose improvements/upgrades to enhance performance, coverage, and security.
  • Prepare and deliver content/presentations for both technical and management audiences to share knowledge, provide directional guidance, communicate standards & enhancements, secure funding, and platform updates as appropriate. Gather feedback from those engagements on opportunities to enhance wireless services.
  • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry. Use those learnings to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Integrate the wireless platform with other tools to drive automation and enhanced service to customers.
  • Provide escalated support for high impact/complex wireless network events to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner. Where necessary engage with vendors to escalate issues and drive resolution.
  • Participate in CAB and review change control packets related to WLAN from a technical perspective, to maintain standards, understand risk and ensure best practice is followed.

What you need:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering or other relevant field of technology, mandatory.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant professional work experience, mandatory.
  • Current CWNP or equivalent professional wireless certification.

    Relevant certifications (e.g., DAS Certified Engineer, DAS Certified Installer) are highly desirable.
  • ITIL v3 foundation or higher qualification desirable.
  • $95,100- $204,000 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
