The Job's Mission

Stryker Japan is the first market entrant in the Japanese Reprocessing of Single Use Devices (R-SUD) market, and this role is expected to expedite the awareness of R-SUD and expand the market in the western part of Japan area, as well as to achieve individual sales annual target.

Key Activities & Accountabilities

Sales:

  • Ensures the development and execution of detailed sales plan
  • Sets sales objectives and organizes the necessary resources to achieve the goals
  • Anticipates the market changes/dynamics, and prepares sales strategies accordingly
  • Identifies new business expansion opportunities including distributors and agents, and develops strategies to implement in practice
  • Provides timely update, forecast and sales result of the market
  • Represents the company appropriately at the Government Industry bodies, and serve on local committees to enhance Stryker's corporate image

Business Acumen:

  • Sets appropriate, strategic sales target and plan
  • Manages sales, operating expense and investment plan
  • Creates annual strategic plan for sales channel
  • Foresees and manages risk and opportunity

Communication:

  • Establishes strong relationships with KOLs as well as senior management of distributors, and maintain these relationships proactively
  • Establishes good working relationships with Stryker staff
  • Ensures the ability to represent West Japan, especially in Osaka and Kobe area, in monthly & quarterly reviews to stakeholders

Education

  • Minimum requirement: Degree in Medical / Business / Engineering / Technology / Sales / Marketing / Commercial is preferable

Experience

  • 10 or more years' experience working in a company in medical / pharmaceutical / sales / distribution in expanding commercial roles
  • Extensive knowledge of Cardiovascular in specific arrhythmia treatment and electrophysiologist in Kansai region as well as experiences of these area of business
  • Good understanding and experience of R-SUD business and/or OEM (original equipment manufacturer) product segments
  • Thorough knowledge and success of sales / distribution processes and applied selling / commercial skills
  • Preferably experience and knowledge in SpO2 sensor and surgical device market

  • High communication skill to carry one's points in constructive and cooperative manners with internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated for exercising honest leadership to tackle business issues
  • Ability to enjoy facing the new challenges to breakthrough "Status-quo"
  • Knowledge of regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and manufacturing for medical device.
